Obviously, the 2006 2007 Volvo XC90's premium classification is well justified. It is built on the P2 full-size car platform that is present most noticeably in the Volvo S80. This gives the SUV car-like handling and sport utility strength. There are two XC90 models, and they each have their own engine. The base 2.5T is fitted with a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline 5-cylinder model. It produces 208 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 236 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm. The Top-line T6 AWD models also get turbocharged power. It comes in the form of a 2.9-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine that cranks out 268 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque at 1800 rpm. Both models feature automatic transmissions. The 2.5T gets a 5-speed system and the T6 AWD gets a 4-speed setup. Both transmissions also allow for manual shifting with a special gate. As its name suggests, the T6 AWD has standard all-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive 2.5T models can also be upgraded to all-wheel drive. |
