This beauty by Mitsubishi is available in two models as LS and Ralliart. These models are provided with 4 in-line cylinder type engine as standard for both the trims. Engine block is made up of cast iron and cylinder head is made up of aluminum.
Displacement in (liters) is 2.4 for LS and Ralliart trim. Sportback LS has 160 hp at 5750 rpm, where as Ralliart variant has it as 162 hp at 5750 rpm as SAE net. Torque is generated as 161 @ 4000 (lb.-ft.@ rpm), for the LS variant while for the Ralliart it is 162 @ 4000. Redline rpm is 6500 for the both the trims. Bore and stroke in (mm) is 87.0 x 100.0 for both LS and Ralliart. Compression Ratio has been maintained at 9.5:1 for both the trims. Valve train has MIVEC 16-valve SOHC as standard for both the models. Both the trims come with multi-port fuel injection. Both the models are front wheel drive with stainless steel exhaust system and 110 Amps alternator. 4-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control is standard for both the models. Unibody construction is standard for both LS and Ralliart trims. Front independent suspension with MacPherson Struts, coil springs is standard with independent Multi-link rear suspension with coil springs. Stabilizer bar (mm., front/rear) is 26/13 for both the trims. Ralliart-tuned sport suspension is standard for Ralliart trim. Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering is standard for both the trims with steering ratio as 14.7 as standard for all. Curb-to-Curb turning diameter in ft. is 33.5 for LS and 37.4 for Ralliart. Power-assist ventilated front disc and solid rear disc brakes of in. 10.9/10.3 are standard for LS & Ralliart.
