Limited models can be ordered with the Wheel and Tire Group featuring Chrome Aluminum wheels and upgraded tires. For added safety, all models can be ordered with a Trac-lock rear axle and anti-lock brakes. New exterior colors for 2006 2007 include Timberline Green and Deep Molten Red. New for this year, Jeep Liberty features include an off-road light bar that lets you blaze the trail at night and stow wet, dirty gear in the integrated roof basket by day. Other exterior features like wide fender flares, ICON Cast aluminum wheels, and standard halogen fog lamps make this a car for the most avid outdoorsmen. Head-protecting curtain side airbags and ABS are optional. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard. Liberty has standard 16-inch wheels; 17s are optional on some models. A 65/35 split folding rear seat is standard, and leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a sunroof are available. It offers serious off-road capability. In this respect, it stands apart from the herd of compact sport-utility vehicles, few of which offer true off-road capability. |
