It has been provided with a 4.5 liter V8 engine for the power required to rule the road. M45 is rear-wheel drive type sedan with a 340 horsepower at 6,400 rpm. The torque so generated is of 333 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm. M45 has been provided with independent, sport-tuned strut with forged aluminum lower control arm. It also has strut-tower brace and stabilizer bar for front suspension whereas independent, sport-tuned multi-link with forged-aluminum components, coil springs, outboard shock absorbers and stabilizer bar are provided for rear suspension.
Valvetrain for M45 is DOHC, with 4 valves per cylinder with microfinished camshafts. Titanium intake and exhaust valves are present and Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) for intake valves is provided. It has variable-flow induction system for intake with a compression ratio of 10.5:1.
