This beauty by Hyundai is available in three models as Base, GLS and LX. These models are provided with engines as Inline 4 for base model, and V6 for the rest of the two. Santa Fe models have 138 hp at 5500 rpm, 173 hp at 6000 rpm with an optional 200 hp at 5500 rpm and 200 hp at 5500 rpm for base, GLS and LX respectively as SAE net.
Torque is generated as 147 @ 3000 (lb.-ft.@ rpm), 182 @ 4000 (optional 219 @ 3500) and 219 @ 3500 respectively. Compression Ratio has been maintained at 10.0:1 for all the models. Valve train has 24-valve DOHC for GLS and LX with 16 -valve DOHC for base model. All the models come with multi-port programmed fuel injection and electronic ignition system. All the models are front wheel drive, with 5-speed manual transmission as standard for base model. 4-speed automatic transmission is optional for base and standard for GLS with electronically controlled w/overdrive, shiftlock and Shiftronic . 5-speed automatic transmission is standard for LX. Exterior features include optional power tilt-and-slide Moonroof w/sliding sunshade for GLS and LX. Standard exterior features are body-color heated dual power mirrors, body-color door handles, remote keyless entry system w/alarm (on base model with utility package), lower bodyside cladding with accent color, 16" aluminum alloy wheels and accent-color bumpers.
