Because there are so many different 2006 2007 GMC Sierra models, there are a number of different engine and transmission combinations available across the board:

• Trucks in the Sierra 1500 series come standard with powerful Vortec engines, including the 4.3L V6, 4.8L V8, and the 5.3L V8.



• Trucks in the Sierra 1500HD Series come with a standard 6.0L V8 engine that delivers 300 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of up to 10,200 pounds.



• The Sierra Denali comes with a standard Vortec 6.0 liter V8 engine that delivers 325 horsepower and was designed specifically for this particular truck.
