Both the FX models have the following specifications. FX45 has 4.5-liter 32-valve V8 engine type and FX35 has 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine. Horsepower of FX45 is 315 hp at 6400 RPM whereas 280 hp at 6200 RPM for FX35. Torque so generated by the two is 329 lb-ft at 4,000 RPM by FX45 and 270 lb-ft at 4800 RPM by FX35. FX35 has an option of rear wheel drive (2WD) or all wheel drive, while FX 45 is only available with all wheel drive option. FX45 Valvetrain has double overhead cam (DOHC) 4 valves per cylinder with microfinished camshafts and Titanium intake and exhaust valves along with continuously variable valve timing control system (CVVTCS). FX35 Valvetrain has same features except Titanium valves. Intake system for FX45 is variable-flow induction system whereas for FX35 it is high-flow tuned induction system.
Compression ratio of FX45 is 10.5:1 and of FX35 is 10.3:1. Independent, strut with high-strength steel lower link, shock stabilizer bar are provided for front suspension whereas For the rear suspension it has independent, multi-link with forged-aluminum upper link, coil springs, outboard shock absorbers (stabilizer bar with AWD). Front brakes are 12.6 x 1.1-inch ventilated discs with rear brakes as 12.1 x 0.6-inch ventilated discs. Computer-controlled 4-wheel, 4-channel with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution is type of ABS provided to both the models. Turning diameter for both the models is 38.7 feet. 8-spoke 20" aluminum alloy wheels are provided for FX45 and 7-spoke 18" aluminum alloy wheels are for FX35. 265/50R20 V-rated all-season performance tires are offered for FX45 and for FX35 Infiniti has offered 265/60R18 V-rated all-season performance tires.
